Flu Training 2019-20

Cheshire & Merseyside LPCs have arranged training prior to this years flu season.

Due to high demand for training additional dates have been released in the northwest.

We have arranged a fantastic and competitively priced training package with ECG and PharmaDoctor to enable pharmacists to provide the NHS national flu service and a private flu service.

There are currently 2 sessions available:

At the end of the course delegates will be able to demonstrate:
• How to set up for a vaccination clinic
• Safe intramuscular and subcutaneous injection techniques
• Intranasal administration of vaccines
• Child positioning for vaccination
• Reconstitution of vaccines
• Adult and Paediatric basic life support
• Recognition of anaphylaxis and other adverse reactions
• Administration of adrenaline via an ampoule or any auto-injector
The training will also aim to provide information regarding changes and requirements to the service due to COVID-19.

Prior to the course delegates will also be enrolled onto ECGs Vaccine eLearning which needs to be completed.

This is face to face training with up to 24 delegates at each session, 2 metre distances between delegates will be maintained and a mask must be worn.

The training costs £95 + VAT and includes access to a free private PGD.
